Jean-Christophe et ses amis d’enfance, Winnie l’ourson, Porcinet et leurs camarades, ont bien grandi. Jean-Christophe est parti à l’université, laissant les étranges créatures seules dans la Forêt des Rêves Bleus. Pendant un hiver très rude et la famine s’étant installée, Winnie décida que le groupe devrait se nourrir de l’un d’entre eux, et ainsi Bourriquet disparut.
